CRSS/CPRS Supervisor Training
The Illinois Department of Human Services Division of Behavioral Health & Recovery (IDHS-DBHR) is pleased to announce the next Virtual CRSS/CPRS Supervisor Training, to be held on October 9, 2025, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The theme for FY25 is “Evolution of the Game: Empowering a Winning Team.” This quarter’s focus is Conflict Resolution: Interference, Time-out, and Reaching the End Zone.
These educational trainings place an emphasis on sharing successful tools and strategies for supervising those with the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery (CPRS) credential or those who are seeking their CRSS or CPRS.

- Utilize strategies to reduce conflict.
- Apply interpersonal communication skills to build team cohesion.
Handouts: Handouts will be emailed to those who are registered no later than the day before the training.

Note: These trainings were developed after surveying those who supervise CRSS/CPRS professionals in Illinois. It is designed for those who supervise Certified Recovery Support Specialists, Certified Peer Recovery Specialists, or supervise those seeking their CRSS or CPRS. The training contains specific information relative to these supervisors.
