| Email- Dear Credentialed Professional, We are excited to inform you that the Illinois Certification Board (ICB) has begun transitioning our certification process to an online platform called Certemy. This new system will provide a seamless experience, enabling you to manage your credentialing at your fingertips. Once notified, you will be able to set up your profile, upload your continuing education units (CEUs), make payments, and even print out your certificate! CEUs can now be uploaded throughout your two-year certification period. Key Dates and Changes: Starting October 1, 2024, all applications will be processed exclusively through the Certemy platform. Paper applications will no longer be accepted after this point. Payments for applications will also only be accepted online with a VISA or Master Debit/Credit card through Certemy. We believe this technology will greatly enhance your experience, simplify the credentialing and renewal process, and save you time. Below are just a few of the benefits you can expect from the Certemy system: -Any payments, applications, or CEUs submitted through the system will be confirmed via email from Certemy. -All renewal notifications will be automated through the Certemy system. Accordingly, ICB will no longer confirm receipt of CEU renewals or applications over the phone. -Current Certificates will be available to view and print in your digital wallet (Certificates will no longer be mailed out after November 1, 2024) -Receipts for payment will be available in your digital wallet Along with the new Certemy platform, ICB has made the following policy changes: -ICB will no longer offer extensions beyond 30 days. -Completed CEUs must be submitted at least 30 days prior to your renewal date to allow adequate time for staff review. -We recommend completing all CEUs at least one month prior to your renewal date to avoid any delays. –Effective immediately, ICB will no longer accept CEU submissions or payments by mail for members with renewal dates on or after November 1, 2024. If your renewal falls after this date, you will receive a link to sign up for Certemy two months before your renewal date.
