Mental Health First Aid- Adults

Mental Health First Aid** is a national program to teach the skills to identify, understand, and respond to the signs of mental illness and substance use. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

NAMI Illinois will host virtual MHFA trainings from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on August 21, 2025.

This training is offered at no cost thanks to a generous grant NAMI Illinois received from AFSP IL.

Please be certain you are able to commit to the training date and pre-work requirements before registering. Class size is limited.

**In order to take part in MHFA training, applicants must complete the required pre-work to attend, which may take up to 2 hours. Pre-work must be completed no later than 4pm the day before the training to participate.
